Cancellation Timeframes
Standard Cancellation Policy
- 24+ hours notice: No charge - free cancellation or rescheduling
- 12-24 hours notice: $15 rescheduling fee
- Less than 12 hours notice: $25 cancellation fee
- No-show or same-day cancellation: Full service fee charged
Late Cancellation Fees
Late cancellations significantly impact our ability to serve other clients and maintain our business operations.
- Fees must be paid before booking your next appointment
- Repeated late cancellations may result in requiring a deposit for future bookings
- We reserve the right to refuse future bookings for chronic cancellers
Emergency Exceptions
We understand that genuine emergencies occur. The following situations may qualify for fee waivers:
- Pet medical emergencies requiring immediate veterinary care
- Family medical emergencies or hospitalizations
- Severe weather conditions making travel unsafe
- Vehicle breakdowns or accidents on the way to appointment
- Death in the immediate family
Emergency Documentation
For emergency fee waivers, we may request documentation such as veterinary records, medical certificates, or other proof of the emergency situation.
Rescheduling Guidelines
Rescheduling Process
- Contact us as soon as you know you need to reschedule
- We will work to find you the next available appointment
- Rescheduling fees apply based on notice given
- We cannot guarantee your preferred time slot for rescheduled appointments
Multiple Reschedules
- More than 2 reschedules per appointment may require a non-refundable deposit
- Frequent reschedulers may be asked to book same-day appointments only
- We reserve the right to refuse future bookings for excessive rescheduling
Weather and External Factors
Severe Weather
- We will contact you if we need to close due to severe weather
- No fees apply for weather-related cancellations on our end
- If you choose not to come due to weather concerns, standard cancellation fees apply
- We will reschedule weather-affected appointments at no charge
Power Outages or Equipment Issues
- No fees apply for cancellations due to our equipment failures
- We will reschedule affected appointments at no charge
- We will provide alternative solutions when possible
Payment and Refund Policy
Cancellation Fees
- Cancellation fees are due immediately upon cancellation
- Fees can be paid over the phone with a credit card
- Outstanding fees must be paid before booking future appointments
- We accept cash, credit cards, and debit cards for fee payments
Refunds
- No refunds for cancellation fees once charged
- Service fees paid in advance are non-refundable
- Gift certificates and prepaid services are non-refundable
- We may offer service credits in exceptional circumstances
Chronic Cancellation Policy
Clients who repeatedly cancel or reschedule appointments may be subject to additional restrictions:
- After 3 late cancellations in a 6-month period, a deposit may be required
- After 5 cancellations in a 6-month period, we may require same-day booking only
- We reserve the right to refuse service to chronically canceling clients
- We may require full payment in advance for future appointments

Appointment Reminders
To help you avoid cancellation fees, we provide:
- Text message reminders 24 hours before your appointment
- Email reminders 48 hours before your appointment
- Phone call reminders for first-time clients
- Online booking system with automatic reminders
Note: It is your responsibility to remember your appointment time. Not receiving a reminder does not exempt you from cancellation fees.
